Maid-in-Hoboken-2-Ways-to-make-Cleaning-Fun

Home cleaning is not exactly one’s idea of fun. In fact, in can be one of the most mundane things to do alone (especially if you’re not much of a clean freak). Nevertheless, home cleaning is a must, and someone’s got to do it! So if that person is you, consider these five ways to make cleaning just little more fun for yourself.

Ways to Make Home Cleaning Fun

  1. Get in the Groove!

The cleaning hype almost comes when you’re grooving to some upbeat, sing-along music. It’s a great way to liven up the environment and keep your spirits up as well. Music can do amazing things for your mental well-being, and physical functioning so goes on and turn the volume up while you scrub the place down!

  1. Beat the Clock!

Give yourself a challenge by setting designated times to finish certain tasks. Not only will this encourage you to focus on cleaning rather than procrastinate, but it will also help you develop a habit of cleaning promptly. On the other hand, you shouldn’t allow yourself to clean haphazardly to finish up before the buzzer goes off. Instead, look for some cleaning hacks online to speed up the process while still cleaning efficiently.

  1. Listen to Audio Books!

Switching on the TV and glancing at it every now while you’re trying to clean and not miss a spot, listen to narrated audio books instead. The more interested you are in the book, the less stressed you will feel about spending your time cleaning and doing chores. However, it’s important not to get too engrossed in listening to the narration and neglect the job at hand. Also, make it a rule not to continue to hear the audio book once you’re finished cleaning. That way you’ll be motivated to clean the next time because you’re eager to know what happens next in the book! It’s a win-win situation, isn’t it?!

  1. Talk and Clean

Nowadays, you don’t have to worry about your phone bill going up. There are so many free apps you can use to call loved ones. Obviously, you’ll need a wireless or hands-free headset for this so that your ability to clean will not deter. So if your best friend isn’t doing anything, or perhaps your mom is free, give them a call to help pass the time as you clean. Talking to someone is a great way to keep your mind off any negativity you may feel toward household cleaning.

  1. Treat Yourself

After all your hard work, it’s fitting that you treat yourself. We’re sure your partner won’t disagree about the fact that you’ve earned a reward either; but it has to be feasible, of course. Here are some ideas; a mani-pedi, some spa time, ordering in, a day off from doing dishes, laundry, Netflix binge, etc. Whatever it is, don’t feel guilty to treat yourself now and then because every hardworking individual deserves that!
